A 36-year old man, who was on parole for drug offense, was sentenced to 24 years in prison for selling heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana to undercover agents in Jefferson County.
Jorge Alberto Lopez was sentenced Friday following his conviction for possession with intent to sell large amounts of drugs, according to a news release from the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Undercover agents from the West Metro Drug Task Force bought drugs during stings on two occasions in March of 2018, the news release said.
When investigators executed a search warrant at his home they seized 1,300 grams of methamphetamine, which has a street value of approximately $16,000.
They also seized two weapons. Lopez pleaded guilty on May 8 to the drug charge, the news release said.
Lopez has five prior felony convictions, most of them are drug-related.
